👋 Hello, Learning Science Friends!

Welcome to the fifth edition of the Learning Science Digest - it’s so great to have you here.

Hot off the academic research press this month…

📚 A study which suggests that Collaborative Team Learning leads to better improvements in growth mindsets compared with one-on-one tutoring.

📚 A research project which shows that video-based, project-led learning is an effective & scalable strategy for improving learner motivation and mastery compared with traditional pedagogical approaches (i.e. sage on stage, chalk and talk).

📚 A study which proves a correlation between the colour tones we use in learning experience design and learners’ intrinsic motivation, cognitive load, and transfer performance.

From the archive…

📚 Ryan & Deci’s 2000 study on how to drive learners’ intrinsic motivation.

Q&A

💬 The selected reader question this month is: How will Generative AI impact how we assess learners?
